While creating this website, I came across many exciting opportunities and windows as well as difficulties and some confusion. I enjoyed the opportunity to design and format the website. I was excited to be expressing myself visually and finding a colourful way to share my thoughts, discoveries, and ideas.  I did; however, find it difficult to navigate my way through the many windows and steps needed to create the site.

Blogs can be excellent resources for all types of learners.  From them, we can discover new ideas, gain support and different views which help to foster our growth and learning. Blogs can display many forms of media in order to grab the attention of every time of learner. They may include photos and videos for auditory or visual learners, ideas for activities for more hands-on learners, as well as text for those who enjoy reading. Blogs can be very beneficial to schools as they allow for multi-modal learning, but they can also allow students to express their ideas and views in a safe environment and share them with their peers. Students can also reach out and engage the community within their learning through their blog posts. However, blogs can be stressful or nervewracking for some students and may be seen as a threat to internet safety depending on the platform used. This can be remedied through the use of school-based or supported platforms and the use of pseudonyms which allow students to post anonymously without the fear of judgement, favouritism, or cyber-bullying.
